+1.619.630.RAWR rajmontano@gmail.com“its not so much about me taking your picture, its more about who you are”
is what you will probably remember telling every one I took a picture of, reason being is that it reality this did start as a school project and slowly is growing to be something far bigger than that, I went out to capture the everyday people, and they truly do have something special, everyone does, as Lindsey put it in an email to me;
I like the idea of looking at “everyday” people and reading a little bio about them. Although they are “everyday” people, I get a feeling they all have something special about them, and I like that.
She really captured the essence of this, and I do hope that in the future we have more photo shoots, to further capture more people and their stories, if you are interested just visit this site or follow me on twitter: RafaelMontano and I will make sure to keep you posted.
and If you want to know more about me, Rafael Montano, the photographer behind the camera, check out my profile: Rafael Montano
If you cant find your pictures, they are probably at my sandbox, while every picture, and story is important to me, sometimes some require special attention, processing or are missing documentation (i.e. consent form)

Once, when I was 12, a tombstone fell on my leg. I’m okay now, though. Also, I have played the clarinet since I was 10 years old. I still play music with friends in San Diego

I really dont know what I do with my time, I love people, I love seeing people happy, I love smiles, I love talking, I love it all
The people project is an original concept of mine, sure others may have done something similar and they deserve credit for that, but I hadnt researched if other people have done this, and even if they did, im sure they didnt capture all the amazing people that I had in my shoot.

love, money, and success?!
At the core of humanity those are the things people want, I want. Then why don't people reach those goals, if its not love, its money, and if it isn't love or money its success, which can't be defined by how big your paycheck is, but more of a personal feeling, whereas you feel that you did all you could to reach the point that your at regardless of the pay, even tho money is important, at the core of a person id hope that all they want go be is happy and success will bring that to one
But really is that all people are chasing after? Love, success, and money?
p.s. my posts are always short because I type them out on my phone, on the go
tiring, just a tad bit, but its all good, I guess this is what it
takes in order to reach my goals.
"awhh they dont have the samples!?" as said by a female 19yr old ish shopper
come on thats exactly why we dont have the samples, thats the reason
yeah that is my spelling of my place of work in my book.
This past week I've come to realize how much I really enjoy working at SeaWorld its a great place, to work and management is amazing I love my supervisors and manager, and all the other people I work with, besides that, SeaWorld is a great company overall I feel, and I love that they are so into their guests (hence their twitter).
anyways I just missed my tolley and just upset myself @sdmts

I don’t drive, and I do intend to do so very soon, im just extremely lazy to go to the DMV, but who isn’t? and the other reason is because I don’t feel confident enough to retake my permit test and pass the first time again, I just really don’t want to have to go again and do it all over.
I currently use public transportation to get me to and from wherever I need to go, but my recent job and school, is now basically in a sense forcing me to get my license.
I mean public transportation is great when your growing up, but once you gotta be at multiple places in a given day, it becomes a huge inconvenience, it takes me 1.5 to 2 hours to get to mission valley from my hometown imperial beach.
So to the point now, I was reading up on the California driver handbook and in the introduction it states that they got audio versions of the handbook on their site, and its pretty awesome, so what I will do is that im going to setup the audio files into podcast format for inclusion in iTunes.
The site for the podcast is http://californiadriver.posterous.com/
Very soon you will be able to find it in the podcasts section on iTunes

p.s. I hope this helps anyone and if it does your comments are appreciated, rajmontano@gmail.com
photography class has simply been amazing I love the class like you
have no idea, the only thing I dont like is printing my photos at home
how cool would it be to live in my gmail account I have everything
properly organized I get to chill with a fox, a monkey, and a chick
and drink I nice cup of tea with them.
amazing day today :D
Had my interview at Xooro today, felt like it went extremely well, even if I don't get hired its cool, I felt like I interviewed well and I wasn't nervous at all. It'd be awesome if I get the job I really hope I could do more than just work in the store serving customers, the place is amazing and the owners are great chill people, they seem to get what they are doing and the vision that they have for the company seems pretty awesome.
Anyways after that, I got together with my partner and we did a little shopping at target and we went to chili's near mission valley and the service was amazing it was the first time that I've gone to eat at chili's and they really surpassed my expectations the portions are big and the food was delicious, I got the grilled chicken carribean salad and I loved the sun dried cherries they are most definitely an upgrade from dried cranberries, I loved it overall.
Also today I slept amazingly I can't wait for the day I get to wake up everyday by the side of my partner :)
anyways I'm on my way home right now, good night

p.s. (p.s. means post script for those that don't know) my one year anniversary is on the 16th of this month, what to do? what to do?
Its such a beautiful rainy day in San Diego, and I'm on my way to an interview at Xooro in mission valley, they sell "Premium Spanish Fritters" and the whole concept is amazing, they add a new spin to the regular churros that most people had had by filling the middle with a sweet filling of your choice.
Its crazy to see how companies are brought up by simply adding a new spin on something that is already great and making it super high end looking.
Anyways I really hope that I get the job itd be awesome to work with a new company and see what I can do for them to increase their success, I hope I even get that opportunity :)
yours truly,
rafa

I am so frigging tired right now, but I guess overall amazing and productive I got all my photography work together and turned it in, and had an amazing time doing our photo shoot today for class, got to work with studio lightening, I really think that in a few months I will be able to actually perform work confidently without having second thoughts.
My photography class has taught me so much and I can't wait to take another. Also my teacher is super chill and I think that as his first time teaching photography I believe he is doing amazingly well, his background is fashion design, but does freelance photography you could check out his site at http://kipgerendaphotography.com/.
Anyways right now I'm on the trolley going home to sleep and to fix a computer... my friend just called... now the plan is get home fix computer and hopefully catch some zzz's. Hopefully..
yours truly,
Rafael J. Montano
I've come to realize that my family & I aren't really the sleeping type with the exception of my dad or maybe my dad side of the family.
Its 3am and we are roaming through Chula Vista, we came to drop off a piece of mail now its become a full fledged trip, with coffee and mini donuts and sitting on a curb just talking about how flat the tires are getting and I not being able to tell the difference.
gosh now the topic of the DMV came up, I dislike with a passion the DMV so much besides I'm not very confident when it comes to things like that just because I don't want to mess up, sure I passed the first time but gosh what a hassle to go and wait a couple of hours in a building that seems to be caught in an early 90s stage. I dread not passing and having to come back to retest ugh what a hassle, but then again public transportation won't do me much justice either with the budget cuts and major changes that seems more of a hassle now.
Also what are all these people doing out right now shouldn't they be at home sleeping and off the road, are they on their own adventure? What are they thinking? What's going on in their lives?
Okay I'm gone now before I start over thinking these things.
yours truly,
Rafael J. Montano
